Bob Barr gets it! Ronald Reagan understood it!

Former Congressman and US Attorney Bob Barr gets it. Just like Ronald Reagan did.

"If Republicans can be convinced to cast votes for a strong conservative candidate, albeit one with a "Libertarian" label rather than an "R" following his name", " If that happens, then politics in America really will have entered a new and positive era." (full article follows below)

And the best part? Rank and file Democrats will feel comfortable voting for that same candidate as well.

More and more Republicans and Democrats are starting to understand exactly what Sen. Zell Miller meant when he said that his party has left him. Their party is leaving them too.

The current Governor (D) and existing legislature (R controlled) passed a budget this year with a 20%+ increase in spending, all while both sides claiming that they can't work together. Well, I'd hate to see what they would spend if they could work together.

‘Clean Elections’? How about, ‘Fair Elections’!

I had to go to countless forums, symposiums, panel discussions and rallies, both for and against Arizona’s Clean Elections law, to get a grip on the major mis/perceptions, good intentions, justifications and motivations of those involved, but I think I finally have.

At an event at the (Barry) Goldwater Institute, I got the final piece of the puzzle from the head honcho of the bureaucracy created to implement and oversee this new function of government. I needed to know the justification for continuing on with a program that did not show us the immediate and substantial improvements in candidate choices we were told we would see by its original promoters.

Addressing the Challenges on Arizona's Southern Border

I've always found that most problems and arguments can easily be avoided if the participants would first define their terms-just to make sure the parties are even talking about the same things. For there to be meaningful dialog it is important to try to carefully consider that our choice of words often leads to needless confusion and frustration. I'll do my best to make very plain exactly what I intend.

After having read all-to-many typical candidate position papers only to find I was still a little confused as to where they actually stood on an issue, I became convinced that there had to be a better way. Hopefully, I'll be demonstrating a more effective format to clearly state a position, why, and if it falls within the legitimate purview of government notice.
