Where I Stand on the Issues
A clear vision for Arizona's future, with specific positions on the issues that matter most to Arizonans.
Individual Rights
Self Defense
I don't know why there is any discussion in regard to the absolute, inherent Right of each individual to arm themselves as they see fit, without restriction; except as to age and or parental consent. In an armed society, either by discouragement or demise, the bad guys really do go away.
I would release all those folks held in our jails and prisons for mere possession of a firearm when no violence or threats are involved.
Drugs
I believe every individual has absolute authority as to what goes into, or what they do to their bodies; at the same time they individually remain responsible for what their body does.
I will release all possession convicts where no violence or threats were part of their offense. We need to put Arizona's families back together—not keep tearing them apart.
Economy & Taxes
Taxes
There is no honest or moral justification for the institutionalizing of what is clearly nothing more than theft-by-government. Personal income and personal property cannot be taxed and I want to end ALL income taxes in Arizona.
My Proposal
- A simple transaction tax not to exceed 9%, without exceptions or deductions
- A 4% corporate fee on gross receipts — no deductions, no offsets, no exemptions
- Fuel/road maintenance tax (users pay according to use)
This structure would turn legislator's heads to making more Arizonans prosperous to create more transactions. All groups will benefit except the current grifters and leeches.
The Economy
What has hurt Arizona the most is the manipulation and loss of spending power of our national currency. I will support a secondary system of gold-backed Arizona medallions if necessary, and I have no problem adding crypto currencies as a lawful alternative.
My Plan
- Eliminate useless requirements and costs that hinder new, competitive enterprises
- Flat 4% corporate fee on gross receipts — no exceptions
- Eliminate all personal income and personal property taxes
- Support a State Sovereign Fund and a State Bank
Government Reform
2020 Election Fraud
There was no question to anyone paying attention that the 2020 election was incorrectly reported. As the audits continue, they continue to turn up a myriad of ways the election was corrupted. While I didn't support either of the two candidates in question, I do have a vested interest wanting to have confidence in our elections. I do support full forensic auditing; every cycle if need be.
Political Corruption
It's out in the open these days. My studies of the Soviet Union show that the only difference between our present and their past is that our stuff is shinier.
I do have a proposal to shake the corruption out of our offices with a strong inducement. Obviously, I am not going to spell it out ahead of time.
Too Many Laws
"The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws."
The 2 major things that I am totally passionate about are eliminating all personal taxes, and as many useless, outdated, or anti-freedom laws as we can.
My Commitment: I will aim to eliminate half of all the laws currently on Arizona's books by the end of my first term, and I will veto any and all laws that do not specify a real need; establish a constitutional thread to give them authorization; or do not present a definitive solution and timeline to fix the asserted problem.
Media Bias
While libertarians have been exposing media bias for decades, more recently all Americans can now easily see the extraordinary level of propaganda being foisted upon the public by what they thought were trustworthy sources.
Two Things I Will Push to Resurrect
- The Fairness Doctrine: Required that Media give BOTH sides of controversy — it worked very well when in use.
- Truth in Advertising Laws: With legal standing and damage awards to any who have seen or heard the falsehoods, and a mandatory $10,000 fine per claimant for offenders.
'My' team is the team that plays for the good of every Arizonan.
Public Safety
Crime
We need to revert to the notion that those charged with a crime must be considered innocent, until proven guilty. The biggest challenge we have in terms of crime, is a government that is now wholly-immersed in corruption and graft.
The only real crimes are against individuals and/or their property, and these acts should be punished, but statutory 'crimes' generally fall short of criminality.
I have deep concern for the light sentences of child predators and I will seek to make Arizona the last place those criminals will want to be discovered.
Prisons
Private prisons create a monopoly sold to a handful of contractors. This works against free market competition and serves only to attempt to absolve government from liability for wrongful or neglectful care of prisoners.
I believe that if the state takes physical possession and control of an individual, the state is solely and completely liable for any damages or harm that comes to them. I will work to bring prisons back under State control.
Education
Education Reform
I have little confidence in our current government schools to produce functional graduates. What drives me is knowing that the students are the people who will be running this place when we're too old and gray to do anything about it. I want Arizona's graduates to be ten times smarter and competent than 'we' are.
Mission Statement
"To graduate competent young men and women capable of going out into the World, and making their own way without ever burdening others."
Curriculum Focus
- Mastering our language, reading and writing skills
- Mathematics, computer sciences, logic and reason
- Critical thinking, entrepreneurship, home economics
- Healthy habits, exercise, social skills, and civics
- Firm grasp on constitutional limitations
I've always encouraged 'home-schooling' because I've seen the results — home-schoolers graduate far more competently than those from government schools.
Moral Decay
The decadence of our current society is untenable. Families are routinely destroyed, children without fathers give them no examples of their role in civilization, this division is further encouraged by government schools, and the influence of the personal beliefs of the teacher.
I proposed keeping the state within its constitutional requirement to provide free, or nearly-free education to all Arizonans using a less expensive distance-learning, and local physical activities model to replace the antiquated system we use now.
Healthcare
COVID Measures
No position in government was ever ceded authority to mandate the behavior of its Citizens. As your Governor, I guarantee I will not allow any notion of mandatory injections, or recognize any sort of 'health passport'.
What I Would Have Done
- Notify the Public about the coronavirus and urge them to take appropriate steps to protect themselves
- Identify high-risk groups and urge them to strengthen their immune systems
- Make all known treatments available
- Invite knowledgeable doctors and professionals to speak to the public
- No involuntary shutdown of businesses or requirements on business owners
- Urge research on effectiveness of alternative treatments
Your body; YOUR choice. Your health is your business.
Pharma
One of the great atrocities committed in our lifetimes is Congress assuming that it has any such authority as to pronounce any makers of any products offered to the Public 'immune' from prosecution for any damages their products might inflict on users.
What I Will Push For
- Liability for damages
- Prescription drug advertising restrictions on Public venues and platforms
- Clear understanding that no office of government has any authority to 'mandate', or discriminate among Citizens
There will be no mandatory anything from my office. I understand that I will be the servant of the People.
Immigration
Border & Immigration
This is a many-faceted issue. I support the free-flow of goods, services, and labor between all individuals. As a libertarian, my primary focus is on respecting, and protecting the rights of each individual, including the Right to travel unimpeded, upon Public roadways and thoroughfares.
'Open borders' does not mean 'no borders', but it does mean that if anyone wants to come into the 'land of the free'; and they are clear of communicable disease and/or representing a threat to Arizona's Citizens; there's no reason at all to deny them the opportunity to further contribute to our economy.
My Solution
Secure the borders to stop bad actors, and by opening access, we take away any reason for good people to come here 'illegally'. I propose a work pass system where visitors can register to work legally, with a 5% work fee going into an account managed by their own community to provide for education and medical needs. A 90-day grace period for current illegal residents to register, with those who don't being deported.
Vision for Arizona's Future
A Vision for Arizona's Future
I have a clear view of what Arizona's future could look like. I've also set benchmarks for my administration, so Arizonans will be able to keep track of our progress.
Raised High-Speed Train System
Constructed in the median of I-10 and I-17, with solar panels powering the entire system. Fares limited to $5.00 for an all-day pass for Arizonans.
Water Pipeline
Twin 40' tunnels delivering desalinated sea water from the Gulf of California to Casa Grande and beyond.
State Technology Campus
Where hi-tech companies contribute expertise to evaluate ideas from average Arizonans, with the State benefiting from successful products.
What I See
- Arizona completely self-funding through multiple income streams
- Complete elimination of all direct personal property and income taxes
- Businesses anxious to come to Arizona for our stable, open environment
- A nearly crime-free Arizona with an armed, safe citizenry
- Public education being hailed as the new standard in learning
- Arizona's Commonsense HealthCare system being copied worldwide
- Arizona having taken back nearly all of her lands from Federal over-stepping
